Welcome to Eaton Rapids Public Schools!!!

Everyone in the Food Service Department at Eaton Rapids Public Schools is excited about supporting your student's success.

Households in the morning can be a hurried hassle after another. Eaton Rapids Public Schools is renewing our commitment to each child's academic success by ensuring that all students have access to a healthy breakfast. Breakfast offers a variety of grains, fruit, juice, and milk. Students must choose a fruit and grain item with their breakfast. We are pleased to be able to offer this service free to students k-5 and for only $1.50 for grades 6-12. Qualifying families can get reduced price breakfast for only .30 cents and some families will qualify for free breakfast.

Every morning elementary students can sign up for school lunch. The lunch cost is only $2.60 for elementary and $3.00 for secondary. Lunch includes milk, whole grain/protein item, fruit/vegetable bar with romaine lettuce, and a variety of other fruits and vegetables. Students must choose a fruit and/or vegetable with their meal. Qualifying families can get reduced price lunch for only .40 cents, some families will qualify for free lunch.

Families can also pack a lunch any school day to send with their students. We do not have a way to heat up food brought from home, so plan for packed lunches to be eaten at room temperature. Refrigeration is not available for food brought from home, so remember to be food-safe and use insulated containers and ice packs for foods that must remain cold.

Free or reduced price meal applications will be given out the first week of school, or you can apply online at www.lunchapp.com. Be sure to complete an application to see if you can take advantage of this opportunity. Payments for breakfast and lunch can be made to your student's account by sending money to the school in advance or by making payments online at www.sendmoneytoschool.com. Signing onto this site also allows you to see your students account activity.

Please call me with your questions at 663-4280. I look forward to seeing your student at breakfast and lunch this school year.
